AMD Research Careers
Dedicated to revolutionary and innovative projects with impact on the industry, working at AMD Research is exciting, rewarding, and intellectually stimulating. A position with AMD Research places you on a team of world-class researchers.
We are always interested in highly qualified people with all levels of experience.
Opportunities range from senior researchers with extensive experience and proven credentials relevant to the semiconductor industry to advanced degree candidates seeking an enriching, short term industry assignment.
- Senior research positions: talented, self-motivated, team players with a minimum of eight years of research experience in academia and/or industry and have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. These researchers typically come with a proven track record in areas related to microprocessor and/or computer system design.
- Research associate positions: talented, self-motivated team players at varying levels of experience from recent college graduates to senior industry leaders with relevant engineering experience. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and a proven track record in areas related to microprocessor and/or computer system design.
- The Visiting Scholar Program brings in luminaries from academia, typically professors on sabbatical, to energize thinking and bring the newest concepts to AMD Research.
- Coop and intern positions are short term assignments for talented team players from PhD programs around the world. Our co-ops are encouraged to innovate and take ownership of their projects, and have a great time doing it.
Our current interests are in low-power computing (addressing logic/circuit design, memory design, and architecture), graphics architectures, parallel programming, and compilers.
Critical openings
Software Research
