The following information on how to whitelist email messages in various email clients and spam filters is provided as a service to our subscribers. If your specific email client/spam filter is not listed you should consult your email client's/spam filter's documentation for specific details.
Ensure that you whitelist memberservices@amd-member.com in addition to the newsletter email address from which you are receiving AMD correspondence.
Please select your email client/spam filter from the list below for specific instructions on how to whitelist an email address.
Microsoft Outlook
- 1. From the "Tools" menu, select "Options".
2. Select the "Preferences" tab, and then click "Junk E-mail" button.
3. Select the "Safe Senders" tab, and then click "Add" button.
4. Add the email address that the newsletter will be coming from where it says "Add address or domain".
5. Click the "OK" button.
Gmail
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address in your Gmail spam folder, select one and click the "Not Spam" button.
2. Next, open the email that you have received from the newsletter's email address.
3. Click on the little down-pointing-triangle-arrow next to "Reply".
4. Click "Add Simply Hired to Contacts list"
Yahoo! Mail
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address your Yahoo! bulk folder, open one and click "Not Spam".
2. Be sure that the newsletter's email address is not in your "Blocked Addresses" list. If it is on your "Blocked Addresses" list, select it and click "Remove Block".
3. Open your Yahoo! Mail inbox and select "Mail Options" from the gear menu in the upper right hand corner.
4. Select "Filters" under "Advanced Options" in the left hand navigation.
5. On the "Filters" page, click the "+ Add" button.
6. Select the "Sender:" rule, and add "contains" and the newsletter's email address, which tells the system to put emails with that address in your inbox and not the bulk folder.
7. Select "Inbox" from the "Then deliver the email to the following folder" dropdown.
8. Click the "Save" button at the top right of the "Filters" page.
Hotmail
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address in the Hotmail junk folder, open the email and click "Not Junk".
2. Be sure that the address newsletter's email address is not on your Blocked Senders list. If you find it on your Hotmail blocked senders list, select it and click on the "Remove" button.
3. Next, open your mailbox and click "Options" in the upper right hand corner.
4. At the top of the page, click on the "Junk E-mail Protection" link.
5. Next, click on "Safe List", which is down near the bottom.
6. Copy and paste the newsletter's email address where it says "Type an address or domain".
7. Click the "Add" button.
Mozilla Thubderbird
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address in your Junk folder, right-click on our email and choose "Mark as Not Junk".
2. Next, click the Address Book button.
3. Highlight the Personal Address Book.
4. Click on "New Card".
5. In the "Contact" tab of the new card, copy and paste the newsletter's email address into the email dialog box.
6. Click the "Ok" button.
7. Next, to whitelist your Personal Address Book, select "Tools" and then "Junk Mail Controls" from the menu.
8. Update the "White Lists" module on the "Settings" tab by selecting "Personal Address Book" from the drop down menu, and then check the box next to "Do not mark messages as junk mail".
9. Click the "Ok" button.
Apple Mail for OS X
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address in your junk folder, highlight or open it and click "Not Junk" at the top of your screen.
2. Go to "Mail" and then "Preferences" from the menu.
3. Go to the "Rules" tab.
4. Select "Add Rule".
5. Give the rule a name. e.g. AMD Newsletter
6. Create a rule that says "If any of the following conditions are met: 'From' 'Contains’" and then paste in the newsletter's email address.
7. From the actions, select "Move message" to mailbox "Inbox".
8. Click "OK".
AOL
- 1. First, if you find emails from the newsletter's email address in the Spam folder. If you find an email in the Spam folder, then open it and click the "Not Spam" button.
2. Click the Contacts link (or open your AOL Address Book).
3. Click the "+New" button.
4. In the "New Contact" window, enter the newsletter's email address into the "Primary E-Mail 1" field.
5. Click "Create".
Postini
- 1. Log into your Postini account.
2. Check to see if you find emails from the newsletter's email address listed in your Junk area.
3. If you find email from from the newsletter's email address in the Junk area, check the check box next to that email.
4. Click the "Deliver Selected" link at the very top of the Junk screen.
5. On the next screen, click the "Approve Sender" check box next to the email from the newsletter's email address.
6. Click the "Approve Selected Senders" button.
Norton AntiSpam
- 1. Launch Norton AntiSpam.
2. Select the "Status & Settings" tab.
3. Click "AntiSpam".
4. Click "Configure".
5. Select "Allowed List" tab.
6. Click the "Add" button.
7. In the 'Email Address' box, enter the newsletter's email address.
8. Click the "OK" button then click "OK" again.
McAfee Spamkiller
- 1. Select "Friends" from the McAfee SpamKiller sidebar.
2. Click "Add a friend".
3. Make sure "All users at a domain" is selected under "Friend type:".
4. Enter the newsletter's email address in "Address:".
5. Enter a name to help you recognize the domain under "Name:". e.g. AMD Newsletter
6. Click the "OK" button then click "OK" again.
