HPC Systems, Inc. Announces Launch of New Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ Processor-Based 32-Core Workstation



Fremont, CA -- 11/13/2008 -- HPC Systems, Inc., a leading provider of high performance computing server and workstation solutions, today announced the release of its HiPerStation 8000 workstation powered by (8) eight enhanced Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors.

The HiPerStation 8000, based upon the newest Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor, built on 45nm process technology and featuring significant enhancements to AMD’s industry-defining native quad-core microprocessor technology, offers the following features:

  • Support for up to (8) eight Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors running up to 2.7Ghz
  • Up to 256GB ECC Registered memory
  • 1TB of storage
  • Four PCI slots for expandability
  • Innovative Quiet workstation enclosure
