EINUX SHIPS FASTEST DUAL 1U SERVER WITH AMD’S NEW ATHLON™ MP Processor 2000+
High-Density Server Maker Ships Latest 1U Rackserver with AMD Athlon™ MP Processor 2000+
(Hanover, Germany) --
3/13/2002 --
At CeBit today, Einux launched the A.Serv™ A1200 MP2000+, the fastest dual processor 1U rackmount server available today utilizing AMD’s (NYSE: AMD) new AMD Athlon™ MP processors, including the AMD Athlon MP processor 2000+ announced today. The A1200 MP2000+ 1U starts at a price of $2,195 making it among the most cost-effective, high performance 1U rackservers available, combining high-speed performance with AMD reliability and technology. It extends Einux’s line of high-density server solutions offering the lowest total cost of ownership (TCO) and total cost of management (TCM) in the industry.
Designed for demanding enterprise and high performance computing environments, Einux’s A.Serv A1200 MP2000+ FlyBird 1U features AMD’s newest AMD-760 MPX chipset supporting up to 4GB of fast PC2100 Double Data Rate (DDR) memory. In addition, the A1200 MP2000+ has the option to have up to an unprecedented 4 10/100BT Ethernet Adapters plus 1000BT Gigabit Ethernet support for maximum network flexibility. As part of the Einux’s A.Serv family of high-density rackservers, the A1200 MP2000+ also features Einux’s patent-pending ServerKool™ and CPUKool™ and a unique aluminum-magnesium alloy chassis, which produces an efficient and cool operating environment for optimal server performance. The aluminum-magnesium alloy material used in the A1200 MP2000+ is a special alloy mixture, originally developed for aircraft and spacecraft, which acts as an overall heatsink, cooling not just the CPU but the entire server operating environment keeping internal ambient temperature up to 10 degrees Celsius cooler than conventional materials.
At the heart of Einux’s FlyBird 1U is AMD’s high performance AMD Athlon MP processor, featuring innovative technologies such as Smart MP technology and QuantiSpeed architecture, which allows the AMD Athlon MP processor to accomplish more work per clock cycle (IPC) when compared to other competing processors and achieve high operating frequencies. The QuantiSpeed architecture is the key element that provides the AMD Athlon MP processor with superior application performance.
“The new A.Serv A1200 MP2000+ 1U rackserver with the AMD Athlon MP processor offers the next level in high-performance computing and density. Enterprises and institutions today demand the most bang for the buck for their dollar and the A.Serv A1200 MP2000+ delivers it all in a small package,” said Rex Wong, President and CEO of Einux.
