AMD Anticipates Reporting Second Quarter Sales Of Approximately $600 Million

SUNNYVALE, CA -- 7/2/2002 -- AMD (NYSE:AMD) announced today that it expects to report sales of approximately $600 million for the second quarter ending June 30, 2002. The Company had previously projected second quarter sales to be in the $620 million to $700 million range.

The Company will provide final second quarter financial results on July 17, 2002.
