Cooler Master today announces its DP8-6H11A, designed to support the upcoming AMD Opteron™ and eighth-generation AMD Athlon™ processors. Well-known to the PC industry, Cooler Master has been one of the earliest companies, which focuses on thermal management and solution for PCs, and has worked closely with AMD since the AMD-K6® era.
Cooler Master’s DP8-6H11A design is based on AMD’s guideline, to help ensure protection for customers’ technology investment. “This product is designed to prevent socket or CPU damage during installation and removal of the CPU, and is suitable for both mass production and DIY PC users”, said Jerry Chen, VP of Cooler Master. “Our products implement the famous Cooler Master easy on-off installation, we continue to see similar entries in the market, but there’s no substitute for the original.”
The simple, straightforward design of the DP8-6H11A, with aluminum extrusion and 60 mm fan, in fact, is state of the art technology. Cooler Master used its advanced design technologies and testing equipment to simulate heat behavior, and developed a powerful and economical thermal management solution.
Coupled with a DP8-6H11A, AMD’s 64-bit technology will be able to deliver high-performance computing for customers including end users, enterprises, government, and military. The future eighth-generation AMD processors will be compatible for both 32-bit and 64-bit environments to help customers preserve their valuable technology investment.
“AMD and Cooler Master technologies will provide enterprise-class 64-bit and 32-bit computing for the full range of computer customers,” said Rich Heye, vice president of platform engineering and infrastructure, Computation Products Group, AMD.
