AMD Appoints David Garcia Vice President of Sales for the Americas
SUNNYVALE, CA --

AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced the appointment of David Garcia as vice president of Sales for the Americas. In this capacity, Garcia will be responsible for all sales and field marketing activities in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. He will report to Henri Richard, AMD group vice president of Worldwide Sales.
“David Garcia brings a wealth of experience in strategic sales and marketing in both established and emerging technology markets,” said Richard. “His track record of building close customer relationships makes him an ideal choice to lead our efforts to expand AMD’s success in the Americas.”

Prior to joining AMD, Garcia was a Client Partner and Practice Head for Electronic Manufacturing Services at Korn/Ferry International. Previously, Garcia served as vice president of Sales, Marketing and Program Management at MCMS INC, a division of Micron Technology and vice president of Sales and Marketing for the Americas at Flextronics International. He also spent eight years in the mass storage sector at Seagate Technology and Western Digital and held a variety of marketing positions at HP and 3Com.
Garcia holds a bachelor of science in electrical engineering from the University of Southern California.
