AMD Hosts Fortune 1000 Technology Summit

--CIO/COO Summit to provide IT information for Fortune 1000 executives--

AUSTIN, TX -- 6/26/2001 -- AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced it is hosting a CIO/COO Summit to assist Fortune 1000 companies to plan for the ever-shifting requirements of the information technology environment.

The summit is being held today at AMD's campus in Austin, Texas. Executives from leading technology companies will discuss topics such as the future of business computing and maximizing the business value of IT investments.
