Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. Announces Redemption of 11% Senior Secured Notes Due 2003

SUNNYVALE, CA -- 7/2/2001 -- Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. ("AMD") announced today that it will redeem all of its outstanding 11% Senior Secured Notes due 2003 (the "Notes") on August 1, 2001. The notice of redemption was mailed to the holders of the Notes on July 2, 2001.
