Taipei, Taiwan -- 6/5/2001 -- ABIT Computer today announces multiprocessor support for the new AMD Athlon™ MP processor and the AMD-760™ MP multiprocessing chipset for one- and two-way servers and workstations. The AMD Athlon MP processor with Smart MP technology is the latest member of the AMD Athlon family processors and offers unsurpassed x86 multiprocessing capability.

The ABIT WA-2A contains support for up to 4GB of registered PC2100 DDR memory, has an AGP Pro 50 graphics slot, an on-board 10/100MHz Ethernet controller and 2X 64-bit/66MHz PCI slots.
