Using the Tyan Thunder motherboard, based on the new AMD-760™ MP chipset, this system employs the outstanding floating-point performance of two AMD processors, each running at a 266mhz front-side bus.
Specifically, the Micro 3000 line of servers features two AMD 1.0Ghz or 1.2Ghz processors running at a 266Mhz FSB, up to 4GB of 2.1GBps high-quality DDR memory, an integrated Adaptec AIC-7899W controller with dual-channel Ultra 160SCSI support at up to 160MBps throughput per channel, Seagate Cheetah 18.2GB SCSI hard-drives, varying graphics card options, as well as two integrated 3com 3C920 LAN controllers. When equipped with Microsoft Windows 2000 OEM Server with 5 Client Access Licenses, this powerful machine serves as the centerpiece of a company's computer needs.
