Covalent Technologies to Support AMD's Multiprocessing Architecture

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- 6/5/2001 -- Covalent Technologies, the leader in products and services for deploying the Apache Web server in the enterprise, today announced its enterprise Web server products will support the new AMD Athlon™ MP processor and the AMD-760™ MP multiprocessing chipset. Covalent's support of AMD's multiprocessing architecture is a continuation of its commitment to supporting industry leading hardware and software platforms.

Covalent's line of Web server products, including Covalent Fast Start and Covalent Secure Server, are currently available on a wide range of both hardware and software platforms and offer enterprise users an optimized Web infrastructure solution based on the widely used Apache Web server. The AMD Athlon MP processor with Smart MP technology is the latest member of the AMD Athlon family of processors and offers outstanding multiprocessing capability.

Covalent has also developed software module "plug-ins" that enhance the functionality of the Apache Web server for enterprise use. The AMD Athlon™ MP processor is a seventh-generation x86 processor for high- performance multiprocessing servers and workstations.
