AMD today announced that it has received Cisco Systems' highest customer satisfaction recognition, the Cisco President's Award. The honor was presented to AMD for its responsiveness and ability to consistently meet Cisco's ever increasing needs for Flash memory, dramatically improving the satisfaction level of Cisco's customers.
"AMD is elated to receive Cisco's most prestigious award that recognizes our steadfast commitment to the delivery of industry-leading Flash memory technology with the highest levels of customer service," said Walid Maghribi, group vice president of AMD's Memory Group. "Helping to support the Flash memory requirements of a business as complex and fast growing as Cisco's is especially challenging as their requirements can change with each corporate acquisition. We are proud to serve Cisco Systems, the worldwide leader in networking for the Internet."
"AMD continues to demonstrate outstanding levels of quality, reliability, and service," said Mike Campi, vice president of Cisco's Global Supply Management group. "This level of dependability is critical to Cisco and its customers. As a result, Cisco is pleased to publicly recognize AMD's Flash Memory Group with the 'Cisco President's Customer Satisfaction Award."
This is the fifth major customer satisfaction award that AMD has recently received for its Flash memory. AMD received the Nortel 2000 "Supplier of the Year" award, the Samsung 2000 "Best Supplier" award, the Volkswagen 1999 "Leading Edge" award and the Cisco 1999 "Semiconductor Supplier of the Year" award.
