Aspect Computer Corp. Introduces the Century Series Featuring the AMD Athlon™ 64 Processor
Somerset, NJ --
9/23/2003 --
Aspect Computer Corp. today announced the launch of the new Century64 series based on the new AMD Athlon™ 64 processor.
“Aspect is excited about the many different solutions we can provide our customers with the AMD Athlon 64 processor,” said Daniel Brundage, Product Manager. “The Aspect Century64 series will allow our customers to run today’s 32-bit applications with great performance and investment protection, with the ability to move to tomorrow’s 64-bit applications.”
The personal computing experience is changing. It is becoming more interactive with better graphics and more digital media. This creates a natural demand for 64-bit systems and software. With 64-bit games, software designers will be able to add remarkable functionality to their programs and gamers can experience more detailed and lifelike hair, skin and eyes, and the characters will have more realistic artificial intelligence.
Prosumers and enthusiasts will get faster digital video playback and editing in addition to 3-D modeling. These prosumers are driving the demand for higher-performance, cinematic computing into mainstream consumer households. PC game ownership is up to a record 79% in U.S. households.
“Aspect is offering customers the amazing performance of the AMD Athlon 64 processor, which is built on the AMD64 platform for compatibility and power,” said Tim Wright, director, desktop marketing, AMD’s Computation Products Group. “With the power of 64-bit computing, this platform can bring a new level of realism to today’s software that has been hindered by today’s 32-bit limitations.”
