Shuttle ships the AMD Athlon™ 64 processor-powered SN85G4 XPC

Based on revolutionary HyperTransport™ chip-to-chip interconnect technology, this NVIDIA® nForce™3-enhanced barebone computer delivers unprecedented performance, integration and style

Taipei, Taiwan -- 9/23/2003 -- Shuttle Inc, a leading provider of small form-factor (SFF) computers and mainboards, is proud to release the SN85G4 XPC for AMD Athlon™ 64 processors. Based on the NVIDIA® nForce™3 150 chipset, this revolutionary SFF computer delivers support for DDR400 memory and Serial ATA RAID. With advanced HyperTransport™ chip-to-chip interconnect technology providing unprecedented bandwidth, the SN85G4 XPC represents a quantum leap in SFF computer technology integration and performance.

“The SN85G4 integrates the power of the AMD Athlon 64 processor and HyperTransport technology to offer spectacular bandwidth-rich, high-performance computing,” enthused David Yu, chairman, Shuttle. “Shuttle is a leading provider of NVIDIA nForce-based small form factor solutions, so naturally we are excited to bring the first NVIDIA® nForce™3 based SFF to market.”

“We expect Shuttle customers will be amazed by the performance of this AMD64-based platform --offering unprecedented power and compatibility,” said Rich Heye, vice president and general manager of AMD’s Microprocessor Business Unit. “Shuttle’s brilliant SFF which can offer improved digital media performance is powered by the AMD Athlon 64 processor – the world’s first Windows-compatible 64-bit desktop processor.”

HyperTransport technology — an advanced high-speed, high-performance chip-to-chip interface — offers aggregate bandwidth of up to 12.8GHz, representing a 40-fold increase over traditional mainboard architectures.

The SN85G4 XPC ships with 1600MHz system bus, single-channel DDR400 memory and Serial ATA RAID support as standard features. Further, users get exceptional out-of-the-box expansion with FireWire® 400, USB 2.0, 10/100 LAN and a built-in 6-in-1 Flash memory card reader, as well as SPDIF digital audio I/O.

The SN85G4 XPC, as well as the company’s entire SFF and mainboard product lines, will be on display and demo’d at Shuttle’s Computex 2003 booth (Hall 2, E126~129) and VIP Suite (by invitation only).
