RSA BSAFE® security software is designed to reduce time to market and increase revenue opportunities for device makers
BEDFORD, MA --
RSA Security Inc. (NASDAQ: RSAS), the most trusted name in e-security®, today announced that they are collaborating with Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. (NYSE: AMD) to deliver optimized encryption software for the AMD Athlon™ 64 processor family to help boost performance and security.
RSA BSAFE® Crypto-C 6.1 encryption software has been optimized to support the AMD Athlon 64 processor to help AMD’s software infrastructure partners increase security and generate more revenue with first-to-market product advantage. This security improvement will not only help AMD’s existing partners and customers, but also make it more compelling for new partners and customers to migrate to the AMD 64 platform.
RSA BSAFE Crypto-C 6.1 encryption software is designed to provide significant performance improvements for real-world, 64-bit applications including secure transactions on heavily loaded servers and encryption/decryption., RSA BSAFE software also supports the AMD 64 platform, offering users a native, smooth transition from 32-bit to 64-bit computing. For example, RSA BSAFE Crypto-C 6.1 encryption and decryption operations demonstrate a performance improvement of 1.5 to 3 times more than the number of operations per second achieved with RSA BSAFE Crypto-C 6.0.3 software (32-bit).
“RSA Security has designed its encryption solutions to be built with new, optimized performance based on the AMD Athlon 64 processor,” said Tim Wright, director, desktop marketing, AMD’s Computation Products Group. “The combination of AMD64 and RSA Security technologies provides our shared enterprise customers world-class power and stability. It is great to have collaborated with RSA Security, one of the leading tools of choice for security.”
