M3 Design Contributed in the Delivery of the AMD Alchemy™ Mobile Handheld Reference Design Kit

Round Rock, TX -- 11/3/2003 -- M3 Design, Inc. today announced that it contributed in the delivery of the AMD Alchemy™ Mobile Handheld RDK.

The Mobile Handheld RDK demonstrates the low-power, high-performance and superior integration of the AMD Alchemy Au1100™ processor in a fully functional Personal Digital Assistant (PDA) system. The Mobile Handheld RDK includes highly integrated electronics packaged in an attractive, ergonomic enclosure designed for simple assembly and ease of use.

These integrated capabilities permit the outsourcing of increasingly complex projects, with superior results. The latest example of the benefits to this approach is the delivery by M3 of the AMD Alchemy Mobile Handheld RDK. AMD needed to develop a full-featured custom PDA device that would demonstrate the low-power, high level of integration and low cost of the AMD Alchemy Solutions Au1100 processor. The small size of the device required that all facets of the design effort be integrated to achieve success. AMD chose to simplify their efforts by using M3’s TPR approach for the design and manufacture of the complete system.
