Phoenix and AMD Announce Extended Strategic Technology Relationship

Phoenix Technologies Ltd. (NASDAQ: PTEC), the global leader in foundation and connectivity IP software, and AMD today announced an expanded strategic technology relationship. The two companies plan to jointly develop software-enabling technologies and products for use with current and future AMD solutions, including processors, core logic, peripherals and network interface cards (NIC).
Phoenix has previously supported AMD's integrated circuits. This new agreement, which formalizes and expands the cooperative relationship between Phoenix and AMD, extends the presence of both companies in the desktop and portable PC markets. In addition, the agreement is planned to address new areas, such as high-performance server and workstation systems based upon the AMD-K7™ processor, and internetworking, telecommunications and industrial control solutions.
