Rackable Systems, Inc., a leading provider of compute and storage servers for scale out data center deployments, today announced the adoption of the newly launched AMD Opteron™ processor Models 252 and 852 with Direct Connect Architecture. Available across Rackable Systems’ line of highly dense, thermally efficient servers, the newest AMD Opteron processor series offers high performance and seamless integration with Rackable Systems’ open architecture designs.

Rackable Systems' four-way AMD Opteron processor-based servers feature up to 64GB of system memory for reliable, optimized performance.
