CCSI (Computer & Control Solutions, Inc.) Announces New Rack Mount Servers Based On The Latest AMD Opteron™ Processors

Tucker, GA, USA -- 2/15/2005 -- CCSI today announced four new Rack Mount Servers featuring AMD Opteron™ processors. CCSI is introducing four--way and two-way Thermally Correct™ rack mount servers based on the new AMD Opteron processor Models 252 and 852. The product offering includes 1U, 2U and 3U 2P systems and the industry's highest drive capacity 3U and 4U 4P systems

“Both general business and scientific or computational based companies directly benefit, as CCSI provides the most versatile configurations with the greatest cooling capacities, highest disk drive capacities and redundant power supply options,” said Rockney Alavi, President of CCSI. “This allows our customers to leverage the full benefit of AMD's future-ready 64-bit, Microsoft Windows-compatible processors running current 32-bit operating systems and applications, while supporting a seamless migration to full 64-bit operating systems and applications.”

Only CCSI Thermally Correct™ systems feature CCSI's unique Wind Tunnel™ Cooling Technology which insures adequate fresh airflow to the CPUs. This allows CCSI to cool the latest, power-efficient AMD Opteron processors at higher elevations, or in higher ambient temperature environments, for the most stable and durable servers on the market. Only CCSI offers both 3U and 4U Thermally Tested four-way AMD Opteron processor-based servers with support for 12 hot swap SCSI or SATA hard drives. In addition, CCSI offers two-way AMD Opteron processor-based servers in 1U, 2U and 3U configurations with up to 4, 8, or 12 hot swap hard drives, respectively.

“We commend CCSI for developing innovative solutions based on AMD64 technology with Direct Connect Architecture to address thermal issues, as well as advance performance, in multiprocessor server products running in specialized environments, such as those found in scientific and computational laboratories,” said Pat Patla, director, Server/Workstation Marketing, AMD.

CCSI has been building leading-edge custom-designed systems for over 22 years using nonproprietary industry standard components for all applications, from office automation to industrial controls. While the company began in the industrial controls arena, the concentration over the past 15 years has been on imaging and IT computer systems as well as OEM and ODM design and fabrication. CCSI designs, manufactures and integrates high performance rack mount Dual and Quad Processor servers and systems as well as HPC Clusters, Supercomputers, and RAID Systems.
