AMD DAS 1.0 (in systems based on 2009 AMD Business Class Desktop Platform) is used to describe the various open, industry standard technologies used to fulfill the needs of SMB owners and IT professionals.

AMD is a board member of the Distributed Management Task Force and plays a key role in defining open, industry standards to manage servers, desktops, and notebooks.  The Desktop and mobile for Architecture System Hardware is a suite of specifications that take advantage of the DMTF's Web Services for Management (WS-Management) specification - delivering a web services-based standard for desktop and mobile management. DASH provides the next generation of standards for secure, in-band, out-of-band and remote management of desktop and mobile systems. The DASH Initiative strives to promote the DASH standard in the industry and enable vendors to implement compliant, interoperable DASH solutions.  An AMD Business Class technology-based desktop should be configured with a DASH 1.1 network interface cards to help manage your company’s IT infrastructure.

AMD is also a member of the Trusted Computing Group.  The Trusted Computing Group (TCG) is a not-for-profit organization formed to develop, define and promote open, vendor-neutral, industry standards for trusted computing building blocks and software interfaces across multiple platforms.  An AMD Business Class technology-based desktop should be configured with a TPM 1.2 security module, encrypted hard (or solid state) disk drive or both to help protect your company’s data.

AMD Virtualization (AMD-V™) technology is a set of hardware extensions to the x86 system architecture that allows you to utilize virtualization resources to take advantage of Microsoft® Windows® 7 XP Mode.  All AMD 45nm processors have AMD-V technology enabled.  AMD Business Class technology for desktop PCs supports running Windows 7 XP Mode to help enable a smooth transition from legacy application to new/updated applications.1
