AMD Radeon™ E6760 Discrete GPU

The AMD Radeon™ E6760 embedded discrete graphics processing unit (GPU) delivers exceptional graphics, multimedia and compute capabilities. The advanced, programmable 3D graphics engine supports Microsoft® DirectX® 11 for immersive, desktop-level graphics. The third generation unified video decoder and integrated HD-Audio codec enable a superior multimedia experience. AMD Eyefinity1 multi-display technology enables the support of up to 6 independent displays. The visual capabilities of the AMD Radeon™ E6760 GPU are ideal for casino gaming, digital signage and medical imaging systems.

In addition, the AMD Radeon™ E6760 GPU is an ideal solution for embedded applications requiring compute intensive general purpose graphics processing unit (GPGPU) capabilities. With 480 processing elements, the AMD Radeon™ E6760 GPU delivers up to 576 GLOPs peak single precision floating point performance for ultrasound, radar and video imaging applications. The AMD Radeon™ E6760 GPGPU capabilities are enabled by AMD Accelerated Processing (APP)2 technology, the industry standard OpenCL™ programming language and the AMD APP Software Development Kit (SDK).

Applications for AMD Radeon™ E6760 Discrete GPU

  1. AMD Eyefinity technology has certain limitations. (1) AMD Eyefinity technology works with applications that support non-standard aspect ratios, which is required for panning across multiple displays. (2) Multiple displays are limited by display output clock dependencies. Two internal PLLs + an integrated DisplayPort reference clock can support (i) two legacy display outputs + four DisplayPort outputs, (ii) one legacy display output + five DisplayPort outputs or (iii) six DisplayPort outputs. (3) Microsoft® Windows® 7, Windows Vista®, or Linux® is required in order to support more than two displays. (4) SLS (“Single Large Surface”) functionality requires an identical display resolution on all configured displays.
  2. AMD APP technology is a broad set of capabilities designed to improve video quality and enhance application performance. AMD APP technology works with applications designed to take advantage of its GPU acceleration capabilities.
  3. Part availability is 5 years from date of announcement subject to change without notice.
