AMD commissioned Synchromesh Computing to create a benchmark specifically for the embedded x86 processor market. This benchmark suite uses recognized industry-standard benchmarks, well respected by Performance Analysis Engineers for accuracy. They also included popular benchmarks from the PC world because of their widespread usage and acceptance. Since the initial version of EPRS, a number of additional experiments and tests have been performed. Synchromesh Computing took this opportunity to refine EPRS based on feedback, and on results of these experiments. We upgraded from SiSoft Sandra 2002 to SiSoft Sandra 2005, and we removed the IM Chat Room test.
