In equally configured platforms1, the low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor ("Shanghai")-based platform offers up to a 44 percent performance to power ratio advantage over the highest performing low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor ("Barcelona")-based platform. For these platforms, the low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor Model 2376 HE-based platform only used 119W at Active Idle compared to the low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor Model 2350 HE-based platform using 126W at Active Idle. The low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor Model 2376 HE-based platform had a SPECpower_ssj™2008 result of 1044 overall ssj_ops/Watt, (346,326 ssj_ops @ 100% target load). The low power Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor Model 2350 HE-based platform had a SPECpower_ssj™2008 result of 725 overall ssj_ops/Watt (263,053 ssj_ops @ 100% target load).
