GPU Accelerated Features
Advanced OpenGL® optimizations, Vertex Buffer Object (VBO) and Order Independent Transparency (OIT) are just some of the features AMD has worked closely with PTC on to optimize and provide great 3D framerates and interactivity for large assemblies. In particular, OIT provides a “pixel-accurate” representation of the model and its surrounding geometry. This creates a more practical transparent 3D viewpoint for designers to continuously work within, helping improve the designers’ sense of “design intuition” and assisting in better decision-making through the product development stages.
OIT fixes visual artifacts caused by inaccurate “depth sorting” of the geometry that often happens in the older “blended mode”. This means some parts of the object are being rendered incorrectly with the old blended mode technology.
Superior Productivity with Multiple Displays
Product development workflows have changed significantly over recent years. Working with multiple applications is common in many development workflows with design, simulation, data management and collaboration all happening together.
Radeon™ Pro WX Series graphics cards feature AMD Eyefinity multi-display technology that empowers engineers to view multiple applications and product assemblies across three, four or even six high-resolution monitors all from a single graphics card, at up to 4K x 2K resolution for each output2. Users can view designs at ultra-high resolutions for increased design accuracy, realism and better insight, or speed up workflow by using the extra screens to view additional applications.
Optimized and Certified for PTC Creo
In order to help ensure optimized performance and compatibility, Radeon Pro workstation graphics solutions are thoroughly tested and certified by PTC for workstation-class reliability across the suite of PTC applications. When combined with Dell, HP, and other workstations certified by PTC, Radeon Pro workstation graphics deliver advanced performance, reliability and value: providing an unbeaten user experience for PTC Creo designers.

- Testing conducted by AMD Performance Labs as of Oct 4th, 2017, on a test system comprising of Intel E5-1650 v3, 16GB DDR4 system memory, Samsung 850 PRO 512G SSD, Windows® 10 Enterprise 64-bit, Radeon™ Pro WX 9100, AMD graphics driver 17.30, Nvidia Quadro P5000, Nvidia graphics driver 385.08. Benchmark Application: PTC Creo 4.0 OCUS benchmark. Radeon™ Pro WX 9100 score: 220 seconds. Nvidia Quadro P5000 score: 262 seconds. Performance Differential: (262-220)/220 = 19.09% higher score on Radeon™ Pro WX 9100 than on NVIDIA Quadro P5000. PC manufacturers may vary configurations, yielding different results. Performance may vary based on use of latest drivers. RPW-193
- AMD Eyefinity technology supports up to six DisplayPort monitors on an enabled graphics card. Supported display quantity, type and resolution vary by model and board design. Confirm specifications with manufacturer before purchase. To enable more than two displays, or multiple displays from a single output, additional hardware such as DisplayPort™-ready monitors or DisplayPort 1.2 MST-enabled hubs may be required. See www.amd.com/eyefinity for full details.
