How to enable or access AMD Radeon™ Overlay?
Radeon™ Overlay can be accessed in-game or while in desktop mode. To enable Radeon™ Overlay, press ALT+R. This hotkey can be changed by going to the preferences section within Radeon™ Settings and clicking on Toggle Radeon™ Overlay Hotkey.
How to enable performance monitoring?
You will also be able to control the performance monitor from inside of Radeon™ Settings. To enable performance monitoring, go to Gaming, Global Settings and Performance Monitoring.
Can the sampling interval be changed for a performance log?
While in-game, press ALT+R to show Radeon™ Overlay. Click on the performance tab. Here you will be presented with three buttons, metrics options, select metrics and select metrics location. The metrics options button allows you to show metrics, hide or show the metrics bar while recording or streaming using Radeon™ ReLive, change the sampling interval and begin or end a performance log. Either enabling or disabling Show Metrics and Start Performance Logging can be toggled using the Ctrl+Shift+O or Ctrl+Shift+L hotkey, respectively.
Is there an option to select a particular metric to be recorded and displayed?
Yes, the performance monitor and log can be adjusted to display and record the metrics you want. By clicking on Select Metrics, you will be able to add and remove metrics you want to track.
Can the location of the performance monitor window be changed?
Yes, the performance monitor can be easily moved to any corner of your screen. By selecting Select Metrics Location you will be able to move the performance monitor to the top left, top right, bottom left or bottom right of your screen.
How to enable Radeon™ ReLive in Radeon™ Overlay?
The Radeon™ ReLive overlay can still be enabled through a customizable hotkey with the default being ALT+Z.
Does Radeon™ ReLive support borderless region capture and stream?
Yes, record region or stream region allows you to capture a specific window or app through Radeon™ ReLive. Any app placed on top of this region will also be recorded. Record region and stream region are only available in windowed or borderless full screen mode.
Is Radeon™ Chill available for all games?
Radeon™ Chill is only available while playing full screen exclusive games.
Does Radeon FreeSync™ technology have per game control?
Yes, With Radeon™ Overlay, gamers can enable and disable Radeon FreeSync™ technology. New to Radeon™ Software Adrenalin Edition 2019 is the ability to have per app settings such that Radeon FreeSync™ technology can be enabled in one game but disabled in another. Radeon FreeSync™ technology button is only available while connected to a Radeon FreeSync™ technology enabled display.
Does Radeon™ Overlay have Frame Rate Target Control support?
Yes, With Radeon™ Overlay, gamers can enable and disable FRTC. Gamers can set their frame rate cap as low as 30 FPS or as high at 300 FPS. FRTC is only visible while gaming in exclusive fullscreen mode. A game reset is required to enable FRTC.
Can you disable Radeon™ Overlay?
Yes, in you can disable it from within Radeon Overlay using the Settings button in the top right and selecting “Disable Radeon™ Overlay” or using the Radeon™ Settings control panel, under Preferences, and unchecking “Show Overlay”.
