The Ethernet 1G/2.5G BASE-X PCS/PMA or SGMII module supplies an Ethernet Physical Coding Sublayer (PCS) with a choice of either a 1000BASE-X Physical Medium Attachment (PMA)or SGMII using the integrated RocketIO Multi-Gigabit Transceivers in Virtex™ 5 LXT, Virtex 4 FX, Virtex-II Pro, or a parallel Ten-Bit Interface for connection to industry standard gigabit Ethernet SerDes devices.
