More About Dan

Dan McNamara is senior vice president and general manager of Compute and Enterprise AI (CEAI) at AMD. He leads the company’s high-performance server and enterprise AI business across cloud, enterprise, high-performance computing, sovereign AI and partner ecosystems.

He is responsible for CEAI product and solutions strategy, customer and partner engagement, and business execution. Under his leadership, the organization has expanded the AMD EPYC processor portfolio and increased adoption across global markets.

Before joining AMD, McNamara spent more than four years at Intel Corp., most recently as senior vice president and general manager of the Network and Custom Logic Group. He previously led Intel’s programmable solutions group following the company’s acquisition of Altera, where he helped scale programmable and custom silicon solutions for data center, networking and embedded markets.

Earlier in his career, McNamara held executive and leadership roles at Altera Corp., StarGen and SemiTech Solutions, which he co-founded, as well as engineering positions at Raytheon.

McNamara holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
