Known Issues & Limitations

  • While upgrading or downgrading AMD RAID drivers, system must consecutively reboot twice for AMD RAID drivers to work properly. 
  • Informed removal of the front bay NVMe may fail following an array transformation; the system must be rebooted afterwards. Refer to safety precautions section in the user guide. 
  • AMD RAID drivers cannot load while installing Win11 24H2 & 25H2 OS using ODD as boot media. This is a known issue. 
  • OS Installation may fail when OS is not installed on the first RAID array.

  • This driver package supports the operating system/boot device included in the RAID array and standalone NVMe boot device with a separate SATA RAID storage array.
    *SATA RAID is enabled on Desktop systems.

installing AMD RAID Software

  1. Run the executable AMD_RAID_Software_<Version>.exe.
  2. Accept the EULA agreement and proceed with the installation.
  3. You can selectively install the required AMD RAID components listed. (However, it is recommended you install all the components listed).
  4. After the RAID Driver installation is complete, system must consecutively reboot twice for AMD RAID drivers to work properly.

Uninstalling AMD RAID Software

NOTE: RAID Drivers will never be uninstalled by AMD RAID Software Installer, since it is a Boot Critical driver, uninstallation can lead to system failure.

  1. Open Control Panel & Browse to Programs and Features.
  2. Check for AMD RAID Software. Select Uninstall.
  3. Select or deselect the AMD RAID components to be uninstalled.

GUI Mode Installation

  1. Navigate to the folder containing the AMD_RAID_Software_<Version>.zip’ in cmd.exe and run AMD_RAID_Software<Version>.exe.
  2. Accept the EULA agreement and proceed with the installation.
  3. Selectively install the required AMD RAID components listed. (It is recommended you install all the components listed).
  4. After the RAID Driver installation is complete, system must consecutively reboot twice for AMD RAID drivers to work properly

Silent Mode Installation

  • Invoke Command Prompt in Admin mode and execute the applicable commands mentioned in the following Attended Installation/Un-attended Installation sections.
  1. After the RAID Driver installation is complete, the system must consecutively reboot twice for AMD RAID drivers to work properly.
  • START /WAIT "" <path to executable with exe name> /S

Silent Mode Un-Installation
