Overview

AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition provides information about installed AMD graphics hardware, software, and drivers. From the System page, users can review release notes, check installed version information, and manage available software updates.

This article applies to supported systems with AMD Radeon RX Series graphics, integrated AMD Radeon graphics, or supported AMD Ryzen processors with Radeon graphics running Windows® 11 or Windows® 10. Product and operating-system support can vary by release. Review the release notes for the installed or available AMD Software package before updating.

Note: These steps are based on AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.8.1 with the Default install type and an AMD Radeon™ RX 9070 XT. Screenshots are for reference only. Available options and their appearance may vary by system configuration.

View Graphics and Drivers Information

  1. On the Windows taskbar, select Start, type AMD Software, and then select AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition from the search results.
  2. In AMD Software, enter System in the search box, and then select System Settings.
  1. Review the information shown on the System page. This page provides access to AMD Software version and update status, graphics hardware details, and software and driver details.

View Release Notes

  1. On the System page, select Release Notes for the installed AMD Software package.
  2. Review the release notes in the web browser for product compatibility, operating-system support, fixed issues, known issues, and other release-specific information.

    Note: An internet connection and web browser are required to open release notes hosted on AMD.com.

View Graphics Hardware Details

  1. On the System page, locate Hardware & Drivers.
  2. Expand Hardware Details for the graphics product you want to review.
  3. Review the displayed hardware information. Fields can vary by product and system configuration.


View Software and Driver Details

  1. On the System page, locate Hardware & Drivers.
  2. Expand Software & Driver Details.
  3. Review the installed AMD Software, driver, API, and operating-system information shown for the system.

Check for Software Updates

  1. On the System page, select Manage Updates to open AMD Install Manager.

 

  1. Review the status of installed AMD software and any available updates.
  2. If an update is available, select the download or install components shown for that item.
  3. To change update preferences, select the More options button (three vertical dots), and then select Preferences.
  1. Select Recommended (default) or Recommended + Optional, which will offer AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition Recommended and Optional driver package updates as they become available.

    Recommended Adrenalin
    AMD recommends that all users of supported products use the latest Recommended Adrenalin package for the latest validated features, performance, and best stability.

    Optional Adrenalin
    Delivers the latest optimizations and fixes for specific new or recently updated games. This optional package is best suited for gamers looking for the latest game support.
