AMD ROCm™ 7.1 Preview on Radeon™ and Ryzen™ for Linux® Release Notes

This article provides information on the release of AMD ROCm 7.1 Preview on Radeon and Ryzen for Linux®.

ROCm 7.1 for Linux is a preview release, meaning that stability and performance are not yet optimized. 

AMD is aware of and actively working on resolving open issues for a production release in the near future

Installation Instructions

AMD Radeon™ graphics products users are recommended to install the AMD ROCm 7.1 package along with preview AMDGPU graphics drivers from Linux® Drivers for AMD Radeon™ and Radeon PRO™ Graphic

AMD Ryzen™ processor users are recommended to use inbox graphics drivers of Ubuntu 24.04.3 along with AMD ROCm 7.1

AMD Product Family Compatibility

AMD ROCm 6.4.4 for Linux® is compatible with the following AMD products:

Compatible 64-bit Operating Systems

• Ubuntu 24.04.3 
• RHEL 9.6 (AMD Radeon™ series graphics products only)
