Installing AMD Software: PRO Edition 23.Q3 for Linux

To use the Vulkan® driver in this stack, the Vulkan SDK needs to be installed. The SDK can be downloaded from: https://vulkan.lunarg.com/sdk/home

• Ubuntu® 22.04.01 (64-bit version)
• Ubuntu® 20.04.5 (64-bit version)
• SLED/SLES 15.4 (64-bit version)

Note: Radeon™ Pro SSG is not supported with AMD Software: PRO Edition 23.Q3 for Linux. For Radeon™ Pro SSG support, please refer to the following table for download links and release notes.

AMD Software: PRO Edition 23.Q3 for Linux has an installation issue on Ubuntu 22.04.2 with kernel 6.2. For installation, please downgrade kernel to 5.19.0-46-generic.

Steps to Downgrade the Kernel:

1. $sudo dpkg -l | grep linux.*6\.2.*-generic
   
   
2. $sudo apt-get -y install linux-image-5.19.0-46-generic linux-modules-5.19.0-46-generic linux-modules-extra-5.19.0-46-generic linux-headers-5.19.0-46-generic.
   
   
3. $sudo apt-get -y purge linux*6.2*
   
   
4. $sudo apt-mark hold linux-generic-hwe-22.04 linux-image-generic-hwe-22.04 linux-headers-generic-hwe-22.04
   
   
5. $sudo apt-get install -y linux-oem-20.04 - for 5.6 kernel version.


6. $sudo apt-get install -y linux-generic-hwe-20.04 linux-image-generic-hwe-20.04 linux-headers-generic-hwe-20.04
