AMD Silo AI Signs the EU AI Code of Practice

AMD Silo AI has signed the EU AI Code of Practice for general-purpose AI.  

As Europe navigates an evolving  global AI landscape, the regulatory frameworks of today will shape Europe’s competitive positioning for decades to come. Transparent and predictable operating environments will help  the development of local AI capabilities, enabling innovation essential for economic prosperity and growth.

This aligns with the AMD Silo AI mission of ensuring Europe’s competitiveness with trustworthy, cutting-edge AI. Through EU supported initiatives such as OpenEuroLLM, DeployAI and Minerva, AMD Silo AI participates in the advancement of the European open AI ecosystem.

The Code of Practice is a voluntary tool intended to help industry comply with the EU AI Act provisions on general-purpose AI. The code was prepared by independent experts. As with any market where we operate, we are committed to complying with relevant laws and regulations in the EU and our signature of the EU Code of Practice reflects this approach to regulatory alignment and responsible AI development. 

We extend our appreciation to the EU AI Office and working group leadership for their collaborative approach in developing this Code of Practice. As we implement the Code, we remain committed to an ongoing dialogue with the AI Office and EU policymakers on advancing European AI capabilities and supporting innovation.
