The last few years for AMD have revealed an incredible roadmap of new products showcasing innovation and driving excitement across the entire AMD portfolio. Working with you to bring leading edge technologies to customers across all manner of industries has been an amazing and rewarding experience – so I’d like to start by saying thank you; thank you for your continued support, investment, and feedback. After such a busy year, December is a great time to reflect on all that we’ve accomplished and look ahead to what 2019 has to offer.
2018 has seen AMD and its products receive more awards than ever before, such as Best Processor of the Year, the CES Innovation Award, and Company of the Year to name just a few.1 All of this culminated with the announcement that Lisa Su, CEO of AMD, will be delivering the keynote speech at CES 2019 in January.
Which AMD products brought us to this point? With excitement and anticipation, the world watched as AMD Ryzen™ processors were introduced in 2017, followed by the debut of fast and powerful AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper. Now in 2018, with a continued spirit of innovation, AMD has released the second generation of both products. AMD’s Ryzen™ product line-up exceeds expectations, delivering powerful gaming and workstation performance at competitive price-points.
On the graphics side, AMD maintains the position as a world-class innovator, delivering AMD future-ready Radeon™ products that are VR capable and support AMD technologies such as Radeon FreeSync™ and Radeon™ Chill.2 AMD delivers stunning software to support its products with the latest Radeon™ Software Adrenalin Edition which, according to a report by QA Consultants recently commissioned by AMD, is considered the most stable driver in the industry.3
We also saw AMD EPYC™ technology introduced to the server market, achieving strong praise and glowing responses from customers. AMD EPYC™ is available now from AMD authorized distributors and enables you to create differentiated solutions for datacenter customers. You’ll continue to see the datacenter efforts of AMD deliver tremendous performance and innovation, with products such as Radeon™ Instinct MI60 – the world’s first 7nm GPU.
This year the AMD Partner Hub has grown in scale, expanding from serving the component segment to including the consumer and commercial business segments as well. This includes new product training, expert webinars, updated sales tools, and more. I am very proud of the robust partner enablement strategy we have put in place this year, and we will continue to provide incredible value to partners globally.
What comes next for AMD and its partners? AMD has an exciting roadmap next year with new technologies and industry-transforming innovations. We’ll continue to push AMD Ryzen™ forward, delivering the best experiences for your customers. Being the first graphics company to achieve 7nm chips also means we expect to bring great advancements with AMD products next year.

We will enter our 50th year with a clear intent: AMD will continue to build on the successes of the past year; 2018 was built on the successes of 2017, and 2019 will follow that trend of success, pushing further, elevating higher, and delivering more – to you and your customers.
Here’s to a great 2018, and to the next year of continued AMD innovation and success!
