AMD to Showcase Next-Gen Automotive Innovations at CES 2026

AMD is returning to CES with a fresh slate of automotive demos that push the boundaries of perception, digital cockpit, cloud development, and in-vehicle computing. This year’s lineup highlights how AMD combines high-performance compute, adaptive infrastructure, and AI acceleration to power the next generation of software-defined vehicles. Live technology and partner solution demonstrations will take place at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall, Room W223.

ADAS: Elevating Automotive Safety and Autonomy

MultiVision Camera Perception: AMD x StradVision Collaboration

A multi-camera perception system built on the AMD Versal™ AI Edge Series Gen 2, developed in close collaboration with StradVision. This demo highlights StradVision’s AI-powered perception stack running on the AMD scalable, heterogeneous compute architecture. Learn more by checking out the case study, here.

Vision-Based Highway Driver Assistance

A vision-centric driver-assistance demo running on the first gen Versal AI Edge Series, showing closed-loop vehicle control with virtual world, while also demonstrating object and lane detection with robust real-time processing.

Surround View Visualization

Demonstrating a high-fidelity 360-degree surround view system built on Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2, providing low-latency image stitching and real-time rendering ideal for automated parking and maneuvering assistance applications.

Autoware Open-Source Front Camera Perception

An Autoware 2.0 open-source perception pipeline running on Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2, delivering scalable ADAS development capabilities for developers and integrators. This demo shows objection detection, even in bad weather conditions, to be used as a reference design for critical safety edge cases. The Versal AI Edge Series Gen 2 architecture achieves the industry’s highest ASIL D certification. Heterogeneous VirtIO for Automotive Compute

A demonstration of an AMD Ryzen™ Embedded processor working seamlessly with a first gen Versal AI Edge Series device to enable virtualized, heterogeneous automotive compute for next-generation architectures using industry-standard VirtIO.

Seyond LiDAR

The demo will highlight Seyond’s implementation of the AMD Zynq™ UltraScale+™ MPSoC device in their long-range forward ADAS LiDAR sensor, and show how AMD is enabling its point-cloud processing, calibration, and RX/TX control for advanced driver assistance capabilities. 

IVI: Defining the Future of the Digital Cockpit

A digital cockpit demo highlighting virtualized workloads running on next gen Ryzen Embedded CPUs in conjunction with a leading automotive OS and hypervisor supplier.

Virtualized Android Automotive on Xen Hypervisor

A demo of a virtualized Android automotive environment powered by next gen Ryzen Embedded processors and first gen Versal AI Edge Series devices, enabling flexible partitioning for infotainment, cluster, and connected services.

Cloud-Native Virtual Platform Development

A cloud-native automotive development workflow using AMD Radeon™ Pro GPUs and AMD EPYC™ Embedded CPUs. This demo highlights rapid bring-up, virtual validation, and scalable automotive software testing in the cloud for a true shift-left SDV experience.
