Entry-Level Price, Enterprise-Level Performance
Leadership performance. Five generations of consistent execution. Cutting-edge security. There’s a reason more and more businesses are opting for AMD EPYC™ processors for their server and data center needs.
There are already multiple AMD EPYC CPU families available for a range of customers; now with AMD EPYC™ 4005 Series processors, there’s another great option – and it’s one solely focused on delivering advanced server performance to growing small businesses and hosted services providers looking to embrace the AI era.
Powering Growing Businesses in the AI Era
Building on the success of the AMD EPYC™ 4004 Series processors launched in 2024, the new AMD EPYC 4005 Series processors deliver a line of entry-level options for small business customers and hosted IT services providers that want advanced performance, combined with the energy efficiency and affordability AMD customers expect.
Based on the same high-performance, highly efficient “Zen 5” core used in other current-generation AMD EPYC CPUs, AMD EPYC 4005 Series processors deliver a range of single-socket solutions that offer up to 16 cores (which aligns with Windows Server Datacenter base licensing), 32 threads, and L3 caches up to 128MB, thanks to options integrating the innovative AMD 3D V-Cache™ technology. While performance remains high, efficiency also plays a part, offering options that scale to 16 cores with TDPs as low as 65w.
They represent the perfect solution for aging, inefficient hardware in the office, and are also the ideal next step for augmenting general-purpose processing workloads, such as office automation, connectivity, and emerging AI-enabled applications. When compared to competitor products like the 8-core Intel® Xeon® 6369P and Xeon E-2488 CPUs in performance, the AMD EPYC™ 4364P processors beat them, while the new 6-core AMD EPYC™ 4245P only extends that lead.1
Hosted IT services providers will enjoy deploying servers powered by these new CPUs, thanks to their ability to deliver leading energy efficiency, low-cost cloud storage, new cloud services, and AI-enhanced workloads for both small and medium-sized business customers in a variety of form factors, as well as offering a great option for hosted business and B2C consumer-oriented services.
